Blank Walls...

It's December, that means you have been indoors for a month or more.  You've been looking at those bare spots on your walls hoping that you would be motivated to go out and find something to hang in those empty spaces.  Or you may be taking down the holiday decorations, contemplating if you really want to put that same old tired art back up on your walls.  Either way you're in luck.  December and January are the best months to purchase decorative artwork.  That's right.  The best deals of the year can be found right now.  The Holiday season is the slowest time of the year for the art business.  Many galleries and frame shops run incredible sales during these two months.  So here are some tips on how to take advantage of these discounts.
1. Be ready to Buy.  The piece you like the most is probably the piece many other people like as well.  Don't miss out on a great deal because you procrastinated.
2. To be ready to purchase you should photograph the wall space you are looking to fill on your phone.  Include a shot with some furniture in it.  That will help the art dealer with scale and color.
3.  When possible measure the empty space.  A measurement and a couple of photos will help you find the right size piece of art.
4 Bring wall paint swatches if they are available.  This will help with frame selection.
5. Finally measure the height of your ceiling in the rooms with empty spaces.  10 foot ceilings are common in newer homes but 8 foot is more common in older homes.
Now with those handy decision making helpful tips, go forth and fill your walls with joyful bargains.
P.S. The fastest and least expensive way to remodel a room is to take down your old art and put up new updated pieces.

QUESTION?
Do your service include retailing of the artist’s works, such as consignment?

Hi Curtis,

We do not sell art on consignment. However, we do host events and shows here that allow artists to showcase their work. Your "entry fee" is getting your work framed by us, but if it sells, you keep 100% of the profit!

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our event hosting is at a halt right now. However, if you are an artist would like to sign up for our mailing list to be the first to know about our upcoming events, please sign up here:

Sign up under where it says "subscribe!" and sign up under the artists one.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions!
